You do not need to travel far to find something interesting to photograph. This weekend, choose a familiar place and look at it more closely.
Give yourself five subjects:
- An interesting shadow.
- A repeating pattern.
- A small detail you usually overlook.
- A scene built around one color.
- An everyday object photographed from an unusual angle.
Try taking several versions of each photograph. Change your position, move closer, or wait for the light to change.
Afterward, choose your three favorite images. Write a sentence explaining what caught your attention in each one.
The aim is to practice noticing. A familiar street, a window, or a kitchen table can become the starting point for a new visual story.
